The Black Marlin action continued into March as we saw loads of Black Marlin on the surface daily as well as the odd Blue Marlin.

There was an incredible amount of Black Marlin patrolling on the surface. The fish were pretty lethargic and not hitting baits aggressively which made the raised to released numbers look low for many anglers. The Blue Marlin began to drop off in number but they were far more aggressive than the Blacks.

Black Marlin started to make a much bigger showing this week and the Blue Marlin were right there with them. The bite was still not very aggressive but the numbers proved that the crews were working hard and got results. Sailfish were a bit scarce and the Dorado numbers decreased slightly. Boats, however, managed to release Sails and brought back loads of Dorado for the chef.

Blue Marlin and Black Marlin were raised in great numbers over the past week and boats flew flags daily. The Sailfish were aggressive which is strange for this time of year. However, the weather was also strange so this may have had something to do with it. We still experienced swarms of over-sized Dorado keeping everyone entertained between billfish bites. Also, there was the odd Yellowfin fight but still none of the feeding frenzies.
